So! Yesterday, I passed my permit test. For driving. Woot!
I don't have the actual permit though. The place closed before we could get there, and then today mom had surgery and so it was just like blah.
I think I'm going to get it on Monday.
But, hey, at least I passed the test!

Since last time I posted a journal entry, I have obtained a guitar. And I am slowly teaching myself how to play it. Slowly.
It's pretty cool, though. It's, um, a Chicago-style guitar. I am not really sure what that means, but the inside says Chicago. xD
I got it from this old lady, and she sold me books and a case and a music stand, too (ALL FOR JUST SIXTY DOLLARS!). Everything is really old, which I actually kind of like. I feel like it has personality. <3

Nicole said she'd be in a band with me, but I don't know how well this is going to work. We have, um, different creative visions.
She wants to write songs about Star Trek and potato chips (which is awesome, don't get me wrong), but I want to write epic concept albums (ie. Green Day, Coheed & Cambria, etc).
Ehh. We'll just see how this goes.
I have a feeling it's going to fall through. xD

Hm. More random crap about my life.
Next week is the No Doubt/Paramore concert. Yaaaay! ^^
August 3rd is Warped, the 11th is Green Day (GREEN DAY. GREEN. FUCKING. DAY. <33), and the 19th is Fall Out Boy.
Then September 3rd is Blink 182/Weezer.
Aaaand They Might Be Giants = October 9th.
Wtf. I love the world.

..Sometime later in September is Pointfest 2, but I'm not sure if I'm going or not. Only if the lineup is good.

I GOT MY GREEN DAY SHIT TODAY. See, I preordered the album, you know.
And, um, I got the album available for download on May 15 when it came out, but I did not have the CD in my possession.
But now I do! And it is beautiful! I can touch it and smell it and lick it and... etc.
Also, because I preordered it, I got vinyls. Yeah, I have 21st Century Breakdown in, um, record form as well as compact disc form.
I DO NOT OWN A RECORD PLAYER. WTF AM I GOING TO DO WITH THEM.
Besides the mandatory touching, smelling, licking, etc.
I also got the 138754289171-page art book! It has pictures and lyrics and shit and is really awesome.

I think I am going to take up the guitar again.
I had one several years ago and took lessons and attempted to learn how to play, but that was a fail. I was like ten. Shut up.
We sold it like two years ago. Or something. IDK. But now I have no guitar. But I want one. But, um, yeah. I have no idea.
